It’s been quite a week for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. First he failed to condemn the remarks of one of his members who actually expressed sympathy with a North Carolina man who threatened to blow up the Capitol last Thursday.

Then he called for ‘investigations’ into President Biden’s Afghan policy, totally ignoring the fact that the time and parameters of withdrawal were largely determined by Trump’s negotiations with the Taliban. And now McCarthy is threatening to hold up the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

Enough is enough. If House Republicans' only goal is to stand in the way of progress for the American people, then they need to step aside.

We need to keep pushing forward for passage of the infrastructure bill, the Senate Democratic budget resolution and change that matters to everyday Americans.
