How we're preparing for LFG ⚽

Before we watch LFG, we're reading up on the obstacles the US Women’s National Soccer Team is facing in the ongoing dispute for equal pay. 

Last month, the players filed an appeal to overturn a 2020 decision against their equal pay lawsuit, saying last year's decision "defies reality." In 2020, Judge Gary Klausner ruled there was no basis to prove the players' claims that the US Soccer Federation (USSF) financially discriminated against the women based on their gender. In a statement, the players said the judge's decision was "based on a flawed analysis of the team's compensation, despite the abundant evidence of unequal pay."

In the CNN Film, the US Women's National Soccer Team describes their decision to work together as a team to address their experiences of gender discrimination and their goal to achieve pay equity for themselves and for future generations.
