John,
Did you know the House of Representatives is returning to Washington today -- and they plan to vote on the Senate-passed $3.5 trillion investment plan on Tuesday?
This is our chance to make sure a majority of members of Congress are on board, stand firm, and vote for this once-in-a-generation investment which finally asks the wealthy and corporations to pay their fair share.
Did you see the email from Deborah from Sunday? Take a look at her email about what is at stake in this budget and then take a moment to send a letter to your member of Congress. The vote will be very close. But, together, we are going to make our voices heard!
We can't let this opportunity slip by. It's our job to tell Congress that this is our chance to fight for our future, to fight for housing needs, more home care for the aging and people with disabilities, child tax credits, nutrition, health care, child care, paid leave, and much more.
The $3.5 trillion budget which passed the Senate is the first step. Now, the House must act!
This is a fight we can win! We must get these essential investments passed. Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for our shared priorities.

--DEBORAH'S EMAIL--
John,
On Monday, the U.S. House is returning to Washington. We are very close to passing a historic $3.5 trillion Senate budget that invests in people, families and communities.
Unfortunately, a handful of Democratic members of Congress are standing in the way of enacting the historic investments called for in the Senate's budget. We must demand members of Congress be bold! Can you take 1-minute and send a letter to your Representative to demand they take advantage of this moment to pass this historic budget to invest in our future?
This investment agenda provides essential funds for health care, housing, child care, and paid leave — and finally asks corporations and the wealthy to pay their fair share.
We have already made progress, but we have more work to do. We have started to lift millions of children out of poverty through the Child Tax Credit —we cannot let that expire. We have the chance to create good jobs, and to create a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants. We must not fall short on investments to build our future.
Join CHN to demand the House of Representatives pass this essential investment, which was already approved by the Senate. We anticipate the House vote to be on Tuesday. We need Congress to get on board! We need to remind them to be bold!
Budgets are about priorities. And we have a fundamental choice: Invest in human needs —or continue to fall short. Let's make sure Congress stands firm!
Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for the needs of working families, the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
