A few days ago, we shared that August was the slowest month of fundraising we've seen this summer. Since then, tens of you have stepped up and chipped in to help us shore our gap in fundraising (thank you!).
So, earlier today, we went back to our spreadsheets and ledgers to do some math and calculated how many donations we'll need to fully catch up and stay on track for the rest of August based off our average donation this month.
Based on the number of supporters near you, John, here's what we've found: if two people in your area contribute, we'll hit this goal in no time.
As we get closer and closer to the 2022 elections and Jamaal's first re-election campaign, it'll be critical to keep our fundraising strong so we can fund our grassroots work. There's a lot we need to get accomplished to bring the much-needed change our communities have been waiting on us for.
This movement is for all of us, John — not just the folks in NY-16. And we're so proud of what we've been able to build so far, thanks in large part to your continued support, from emails like this one.
But if we want to continue our work and keep Jamaal in Congress, we need to ensure our fundraising continues to stay strong so we can make all our critical investments in the months to come. That's why we're asking for your help today.
