This is not the first time Jim Jordan has attacked Fauci. In July, he shared a news article from an alt-right news outlet accusing Fauci of intentionally lying to the American people about COVID-19.

Jim Jordan's attacks on Fauci are dangerous for two reasons. First, they're dangerous because we are facing yet another COVID-19 surge due to the Delta variant. And second, they're dangerous because millions of people are still refusing to get vaccinated against this deadly virus.

The months ahead are going to be critical if we are going to overcome this pandemic. But Republicans are doing everything they can to undermine the science and research being done by Dr. Fauci and the top scientists in the country as a way to derail Democrats' efforts to lead us out of the pandemic.

The good news is: We can fight back against the Republican misinformation machine. Whether you are vaccinated or not, every American deserves to have access to the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the pandemic -- and should have the utmost confidence in the truth of that information.
