CHAIRMAN, Jay Kramer * 772-321-7724 * [email protected] VICE CHAIRMAN, Frank Sosta, Jr. * 772-713-6411 * [email protected] SECRETARY, Linda Anselmini * 609-577-5139 * [email protected] TREASURER, Steve Gagne * 772-480-6671 * [email protected] STATE COMMITTEEWOMAN Elly Manov 772-696-1665 [email protected] STATE COMMITTEEMAN Shawn Frost 772-264-4373 [email protected] IRC REPUBLICAN PARTY CHAIRMAN Jay Kramer I wanted to write something positive about what is going on in the world. We are seeing so much evil that the Biden administration is doing that we need to know there are some positive things happening. One thing of great interest to Republicans in Florida is the lead the Democrats have had over Republicans is starting to disappear. In 2018 the Democrats had a 257,175-registration lead over the Republicans, now in 2021 it’s been reduced to 54,046 with an estimated six to eight thousand registrations gained every month. Florida is about to flip RED! We are hoping to celebrate the New Year as a Red State here in Florida. Although this is great news, the Democrats continue to show how destructive they are for this country, we can only hope that we will make it to the 2022 elections. We recently attended the Republican Party of Florida quarterly meeting, and we are getting geared up for 2022 already. RPOF is planning to open several campaign offices for DeSantis' re-election campaign throughout the state. Voter Registration remains a priority in order to achieve our goal of making Florida RED. RPOF representatives will be providing voter registration training sessions for RECs around the state. Here locally, we are in the final stages of getting our headquarters, which will allow us to start organizing our outreach and giving our campaigns a place to work from. Jay ‌ "But our rulers can have authority over such natural rights only as we have submitted to them. The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God." Thomas Jefferson RNC SUMMER MEETING Peter Feaman, National Committeeman for Florida reports the following from the recently held Summer Meeting of the Republican National Committee in Nashville, TN. Election Integrity Committee The RNC Election Integrity Committee was created in response to the 2020 election. The Committee is chaired by our own Chairman, Joe Gruters who is doing a terrific job in leading this Committee. Also on the Committee is our National Committeewoman, Kathleen King. A report of the Committee was released last week and some of the highlights are provided below. You can read the entire report at: [link removed] Legal Actions · The RNC participated in over 58 lawsuits in 23 states spending $30 million on our legal efforts. A couple of the more notable victories: Republicans and President Trump were victorious in suing the Pennsylvania Secretary of State challenging her unilateral action to extend an important voter ID deadline set by a state law. · The RNC obtained a monumental Supreme Court victory in Brnovich v. DNC. The decision by the Supreme Court allows states to continue to ban the practice of ballot harvesting. This is a crucial win for election integrity that will have positive ramifications for decades to come. · The RNC intervened successfully in all four of the lawsuits challenging Florida Senate Bill 90, Florida’s recent election reform legislation. The RNC intervened successfully in eight lawsuits challenging SB 202, Georgia’s election reform legislation including opposing the Department of Justice lawsuit filed against the state of Georgia. The RNC also intervened successfully in the lawsuit challenging the state of Iowa’s most recent voting reforms. · The RNC is preparing to sue the state of Vermont for recent legislation that violates its state constitution by allowing non-citizens to vote in some local elections. · The RNC has active investigations concerning the voter registration lists in the states of Arizona, California, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. The RNC will sue any state or local election jurisdiction that is not following the state and federal law for maintaining their voter rolls. The RNC is building the largest election integrity operation in history. The RNC is recruiting, training, and activating thousands of volunteers to be at polling locations throughout the entire voting process in all states where necessary. · There are currently 19 ongoing pieces of litigation in which the RNC is involved, including litigation in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Arizona, and Michigan. · In North Carolina, the RNC and the North Carolina GOP successfully defeated a North Carolina Board of Elections rule that would have restricted Republican poll watchers. The Board of Elections ultimately backed down. In California, the RNC is actively opposing a rule that would loosen requirements for officials to pick up ballots from mail-in ballot drop boxes. · The RNC is actively assisting the Massachusetts GOP with its own request to discover what the Massachusetts authorities have done with tens of thousands of returned absentee ballot applications. Other activities of the Committee on Election Integrity led by our GOP Chairman, Joe Gruters, are: 1. Review what went right and wrong in 2020. 2. Develop a strategic plan for the Republican Party on election integrity moving forward by continuing to work in state legislatures across the country to pass laws ensuring ballot integrity. 3. Organize the most extensive election period operations in history to fight voter fraud. This will include grassroots trainings to cover how to effectively exercise their rights when facing a mistake, fraud, or abuse, with extra emphasis on poll workers and poll watchers. You can go to protectthevote.com for more information. The Presidential Debates Committee The RNC has also formed a Presidential Debates Committee to improve and streamline the debate process, not only for the Republican presidential primaries, but for the debate process in the general election. The Commission on Presidential Debates must not be a partisan pro-Democrat commission. You will recall in 2016 and 2020, the debates were often too late in the process (taking place after the start of early voting) and the debate moderators were obviously hostile to our Republican candidate. The Resolutions Committee The RNC passed 9 resolutions, including: · Resolution condemning critical race theory · Resolution to protect Afghan Nationals who supported the U.S. · Resolution in support of the Cuban peoples’ quest for freedom · Resolution opposing the overregulation of the Biden administration · Resolution in support of the Iranian peoples’ quest for freedom · Resolution opposing anti-Semitism Unity As we approach the 2022 mid-term elections and the 2024 presidential election, and in light of the abject failure of the Biden administration, we know that the very survival of our republic depends on the outcome of those elections. Therefore, we must stay unified. Never lose sight of who our political opponents are… the progressive left Democrats who are taking our country off a cliff with the active help of Big Tech and the old-line national news media. Our fellow Republicans are not the enemy! FBI FINDS SCANT EVIDENCE OF COORDINATION ON JANUARY 6TH Democrats and their media allies have repeatedly insisted that the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was a seditious act of insurrection organized and coordinated by former President Donald Trump and his allies with the goal of overthrowing the U.S. government, with Trump even being impeached but not convicted by Congress on such assertions. However, a bombshell report reveals that the FBI has found “scant evidence” thus far in support of the notion that the riot was centrally coordinated or organized on a broad scale, particularly by Trump and his allies, the Washington Examiner reported. GOV RON DESANTIS ANNOUNCES MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY CENTERS FOR FLORIDA Last week, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida is increasing the availability of monoclonal antibody therapies by opening rapid response units to administer this lifesaving treatment in 14 counties throughout the state. Monoclonal antibody treatments can prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19. These treatments are widely available in Florida. Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter. If you are 12 years and older and are at high risk for severe illness due to COVID-19, you are eligible for this treatment. In clinical trials, monoclonal antibody treatment showed a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death. For high-risk patients who have been exposed to someone with COVID19, Regeneron can give you temporary immunity to decrease your odds of catching the infection by over 80%. “I am proud to announce the opening of these rapid response units to offer lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapies for Floridians,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. These treatments have been proven successful, with clinical trials resulting in a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death for COVID patients.” Monoclonal antibody strike teams will deploy directly to long-term care facilities To find locations to receive monoclonal antibody treatments around the entire state, please visit floridahealthcovid19.gov. Attorney General Moody Urges Florida Sheriffs to Resume the Transfer of Criminals in the Country Illegally to Federal Authorities Following a nationwide court-ordered injunction, Attorney General Ashley Moody is urging Florida sheriffs to transfer criminals in the country illegally to federal authorities for deportation, upon the completion of their sentences. The guidance comes after the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas ruled against President Joe Biden’s failed immigration policies. The ruling orders the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to follow federal law that requires the deportation of certain criminals in the country illegally. Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “This is an important public safety ruling. Since his first day on the job, President Biden has refused to deport serious criminal offenders here illegally making Floridians and the rest of the country less safe. I am grateful for today’s ruling that forces President Biden to do his job, and I am asking all our great sheriffs to resume the transfer of custody of criminals in the country illegally to the federal government for deportation.” More.
