John, let’s talk about elections.
It’s my job as Colorado Secretary of State and DASS Chair to fight to safeguard both the integrity of our elections and the ability of every eligible voter to access the polls.
Extreme republicans have made some bold claims over the past year and a half about the security and integrity of our system. But those claims couldn’t be further from the truth.
In reality, the 2020 election was the most secure on record by virtually every metric. The votes were counted; the electors were certified; Joe Biden won the election, because voters chose him to be the President.
Everything else is partisan bluster and lies designed to undermine faith in democracy. And those lies pose a clear danger to the future of elections.

Here at DASS, we work every day to protect your rights and ensure that every valid vote is counted. And systems like expanded voter registration and ballot drop-off options only serve to improve the security and accuracy of elections.
