John,

As America's children head back to school ... many are
returning to asphalt schoolyards that look more like parking lots than
playgrounds.

But the kids returning to the Oakland Unified School District in
California will be happy to see that some of their former asphalt
playgrounds have been converted to vibrant, green play spaces ...
thanks to a collaborative effort between The Trust for Public
Land's Community Schoolyards(TM) projects, our partners,
and supporters like you.

John, help us
create more wonderful schoolyards for kids and communities across the
United States by making a tax-deductible contribution to The Trust for
Public Land today.

The Trust for Public Land is working hand-in-hand with communities
such as Oakland to transform underused asphalt schoolyards into
vibrant public parks. The results? Beautiful outdoor spaces brimming
with super fun play areas, gardens, ball courts, grass fields, and
useful features for neighbors of every age.

But today, 100 million people in America don't have a park
close to home, and transforming schoolyards into shared public parks
is a common-sense, cost-effective solution to America's park
equity problem where local parks are too few and far between.

Our efforts in Oakland are just one part of our aggressive strategy
to create many more Community Schoolyards across the nation by 2025
... and to succeed, we need your financial support today.

We are moving forward with similar efforts in Philadelphia ...
Dallas ... Atlanta ... New York City ... and other cities
across the nation. This initiative will not only provide vibrant
playgrounds for children, but will also provide open, community green
spaces for local residents who currently lack access to quality
parks.

Your support today will not only aid our efforts to build more
Community Schoolyards, but will also aid our many other efforts to
provide green spaces and parks to all Americans. We must raise $50,000
before the end of this month to stay on track with the budgetary goals
required to meet the needs of the next community that requires our
help, so I hope we can count on your support!
