John,
In late August 2019, the Navajo Nation announced that it reached a settlement with Wells Fargo.
Why?
Wells Fargo had a long history of predatory and unlawful practices that targeted and harmed the Navajo people.
They routinely misled customers into opening unnecessary accounts and pushing elders into buying products to meet quotas.
Wells Fargo, a private corporation worth hundreds of billions of dollars, used its leverage to take money out of the Navajo people’s pockets.
And our opponent accepts campaign donations from them.
How is it okay to take money from a corporation that steals from your constituents?
How can he justify it after the harm Wells Fargo caused to countless people?
How can he truly look out for the best interests of the people when private corporations are contributing thousands to his campaign?
Our campaign takes $0 from corporate PACs or special interests.
When Eva is in Congress, she will serve the people in her district, not the private corporations who steal from them.
