John,
With the recent U.N. climate report being deemed a “ code red for humanity” and some of the biggest wildfires recorded raging in California, we must take big action to combat climate change.
As we go back into session, my Democratic colleagues and I are pushing thru legislation to do just that, including working to pass President Biden’s full infrastructure package which in addition to fixing roads, bridges, and broadband access, features major investment in electric vehicle infrastructure, mass transit, clean water, and more to help bring us into a clean energy future.
As a science professional in Congress, I am committed to listening to facts and doing all I can to combat our climate crisis. Now, I have to know if you’re standing with me in the most critical battle of our lifetimes. Sign your name now to my petition to demand action →

I have long fought for action on climate change, helping to pass the PFAS Action Act recently, a bill to get rid of “forever chemicals” in our water supply, and bills to invest in research and concrete development on the effects of climate change (including wildfires), as well as bills to protect and support our public lands.
As a doctor, I know the risks climate change poses to our health — including air pollution that will disportionately affect poorer communities and people of color, as well as extreme heat leading to illnesses including cardiovascular issues, and respiratory issues.
Many Republicans refuse to act on this issue, even denying it is real, so we need an upswell of support to keep our momentum up after this fear-inducing report.

Thank you for taking action.
Be well,
Ami
