I spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy defending our democracy.

Believe me when I say that, in all my years serving this country, I have never seen an attack on our democracy like the one we’re currently living through.

After Trump lost the election, Republican legislatures around the country launched an assault on the right to vote. At least 17 states have enacted 28 laws to restrict voting access.

And for the first time in American history, the peaceful transition of power between presidents was denied because one party attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

Not only have they yet to be held accountable for their actions, but Republicans are continuing to spread lies and sow doubt about the legitimacy of President Biden’s election.

In Congress, I’m doing everything I can to ensure attacks like this don’t happen in the future and to protect our sacred right to vote. But I’m a top target for national Republicans trying to regain control of the House, and some of my opponents still refuse to admit that President Biden won the election.

Holding our House majority has never been more important and my race will be one of the closest in the nation. So, I’m asking you today: Can you chip in $25 to give me the resources to defend my seat and our democracy?
