There's just no reason we should be supporting more oil infrastructure right now.
Last week, I joined my friend Bernie Sanders and some of our Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate to oppose the Line 3 Pipeline. Here’s why:
Local indigenous tribes have outright opposed this oil pipeline. It would destroy their land, food sources, and water. Not only were they not consulted, many local indigenous activists have actively protested the pipeline — facing assaults and arrests at the hands of police.
The impacts of this pipeline on climate change will be devastating. We cannot be building more fossil fuel infrastructure as the climate crisis becomes more and more irreversible. Climate change has been declared a “code red” for humanity by international experts. There’s just no reason why we should be supporting more oil infrastructure right now.
Trump approved this pipeline. Now WE need to stop it. I’m leading the fight against Line 3 in Congress. Can you donate $3 to show the power of our movement to protect indigenous lands and avert further climate disasters?

We are simply asking President Biden to uphold promises he made about the environment and fighting climate change. Pumping more fossil fuels through more pipelines is NOT part of an environmentally sound policy. And the Biden administration cannot continue the assault on indigenous lands that Trump perpetrated.
Cancel the Line 3 Pipeline and let’s get back to solving the climate crisis. If you agree, chip in $3 to fuel my work on this critical issue.
In solidarity,
