We have news to share, team:
Congressman Ron Kind, NewDem Member and champion for working families in Wisconsin’s Third District, has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2022.
Ron’s departure is sad for all of us. He was a founding Member of the NewDems and has worked diligently in Congress to expand access to healthcare, invest in education, and create good-paying jobs for his constituents. He’s a fierce defender of the dairy farmers he represents and a powerful voice for the needs of rural America.
His district leaned red, but Ron won again and again because he did the hard work of retail politics and made a name for himself as someone who would bridge the partisan divide to achieve results.
Ron is leaving big shoes to fill, and with the 2022 midterms on the horizon, there is no doubt that losing Rep. Kind will have massive implications for our Democratic Majority.
NewDems were able to hold Rep. Kind’s deep-purple seat for over 20 years through sustained organizing, big investments, and hard work. In 2022, we’re going to need to double down on our work in WI-03 to keep Republicans from taking this seat. Can you chip in $10 to help us fight to protect Ron Kind’s legacy and keep WI-03 blue?

There aren’t many Democrats who can run and win in districts that Donald Trump carried twice — but Ron Kind did, because that’s what NewDems do. We have the right message, the organizing strategy, and the grassroots muscle to carry deep-purple districts.
Your early investments in our program are what will make the difference in 2022. With a razor-thin majority in the House, we don’t have room for error. NewDems must hold this seat in 2022. And with your help, we will.
Donate $10 to NewDems today to help us build the resources we’ll need to keep WI-03 in Democratic hands next year.
Thank you,
