In a moment I’ll tell you why the Virginia Governor’s race is the most important in the country, but first, I’m asking directly for your support.

My opponent Glenn Youngkin is a Trump-endorsed, right-wing culture warrior. He’s vowing to spend up to $75 million of his own money to buy the Governor’s office. The only way we can stop him is by building the biggest small-dollar donor army in the history of Virginia politics.

As Virginia’s next Governor, I want to create great paying jobs, reduce health care costs, and build the best education system in the country. That’s my mission. That’s why I’m running.

My opponent, Glenn Youngkin? He says he’s running for Donald Trump. Trump knows this -- that’s why he gave Glenn his “complete and total endorsement.”

It’s no mystery why Trump endorsed Glenn. Trump’s lies and conspiracy theories that Joe Biden and Democrats stole the election are a central part of Youngkin’s campaign.

Youngkin wants to ban abortion and put more guns on our streets. He even brags about vacationing with Ted Cruz and says he opposes Medicaid expansion in Virginia.

So this is no joke, John. Glenn Youngkin is a billionaire extremist. If he buys the Governor’s office, he’ll roll back all of Virginia’s hard won progress. A Youngkin win in 2021’s most important race would tighten Donald Trump’s grip over the Republican Party. Extremists on the far-right all over our country would be emboldened.

So it’s critical for Democrats to come together and stop them. And the best way to do that is by building the biggest small dollar fundraising operation in the history of Virginia politics.
