Mayor LaToya Cantrell is the sole mayoral candidate to secure the official endorsement of the Democratic Party after sharing her vision at the recent Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee (OPDEC) forum. OPDEC plays an important role in ushering in progress in the city of New Orleans.

"I am honored to be the officially endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party in my re-election for Mayor of New Orleans. The Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee understands that we need fierce unwavering leadership during these times. They know I am the woman for the job to continue moving New Orleans forward," said Cantrell.

During her second term, Mayor Cantrell will continue to focus on public safety, jobs, the city’s economy, expanding affordable housing options, and improving residents’ quality of life. She will also continue to work with President Biden to improve New Orleans' infrastructure. The work done over the next few years will set the city up for generations to come.

Mayor Cantrell knows we are living through unprecedented times and believes it is going to take all of us to get through these trying times. She is optimistic that the change we enact today will make a world of difference tomorrow.
