John,
For decades, some of the biggest tech companies in the world have sought to control the app marketplace, to enrich themselves and squeeze out smaller competitors.
That’s why I introduced a bill in the House that would prohibit companies like Apple and Google from acting like a monopoly and giving their own apps preferential treatment or punishing smaller developers that offer their apps for different pricing elsewhere.
The bill would level the playing field for app developers, lowering prices for consumers like you.
Will you pitch in to our efforts to hold Big Tech accountable?
Our economy is successful because fair competition between companies in every industry spurs growth and innovation. But tech behemoths like Google and Apple want to use their power to eliminate competition permanently.
This is already a bipartisan effort, and working with my Republican colleagues, I know we can make necessary changes to ensure everyone has a fair shot.
It won’t be easy though. We are up against some of the wealthiest companies in the history of the world, and they’ll put billions towards fighting us with everything they’ve got.
Will you help us out as we stand up to Big Tech? We can show them just how much grassroots support we have.
In this fight together,
— Hank Johnson
