Campaigns are unpredictable, John.
From new opponents jumping into the race to the digital ad landscape forever changing, there are few things campaigns like ours can predict.
However, what we can predict is this: recurring monthly donations.
Without recurring donations, it would be nearly impossible for our campaign to plan budgets, make ad buys, or create voter contact plans. It all relies on knowing how much money we’re bringing in so we can properly pay our staff and afford to execute their strategic plans.
The GOP knows that they have a real chance in taking Katie’s seat back, John. And they are ready to throw all their resources behind unseating her. Katie already has six far-right opponents who are raking in donations in an effort to take her seat.
Plus, we still aren’t sure how redistricting from the census could affect our election. If Katie’s district changes much, we’ll have to commit even more funds to voter outreach and mobilization. Not to mention the fact that redistricting could introduce new opponents—including ones who may be accepting millions from corporate PACs and lobbyists.
We can’t predict how Katie’s re-election will go, John—that’s why we have to work so hard every day to try and protect her seat. But if we can predict a monthly recurring donation from you, it will make our work just a little bit easier.
