COVID-19 is surging once again in Georgia, and, unsurprisingly, Governor Brian Kemp is doing... nothing. While nearly 90% of the state's ICU beds are filled and state Democrats plead for more aggressive action, Kemp continues to rail against mask requirements and vaccine mandates.
Georgians are dying, and we can't help but wonder how different life could have been if Stacey Abrams was in the governor's office instead. Lucky for us, she's announced a national tour and news outlets are buzzing about a potential rematch in 2022.
The thing is, Kemp and his Trump minions know that Abrams is the only person who can flip the governor's mansion blue -- and they've already raised millions to stop her.
In 2018, Brian Kemp defeated Stacey Abrams by less than 2 points -- just 55,000 votes -- so we know that 2022 will offer us an unprecedented opportunity to finally flip this seat.
