John, I’m going to say this loud and clear:

If you are a terrorist sympathizer, you shouldn’t be a member of Congress.

You may have heard that yesterday, a man in a pickup truck drove up to the steps of the Library of Congress and told Capitol officers that he had an explosive device with him. I’m grateful to the officers who worked to keep us all safe, and after several hours, were able to arrest the bomber and de-escalate the situation.

Mo Brooks, on the other hand, released a statement justifying the bomber’s actions:

Mo clearly didn’t learn his lesson on January 6, when he told Trump supporters to “start kicking ass and taking names” — and who then immediately stormed the Capitol building.

Elected officials who invoke violence or sympathize with domestic terrorists should not be members of Congress. They should be held accountable for their words and actions. If you’re with me in the fight to hold Mo and the rest of the GOP accountable, can you chip in right now? [[link removed]]

I filed suit against Mo earlier this year for his role in what happened on January 6. That day left our democracy in a fragile state. Now, he’s back to the same violent rhetoric that continues to put people's lives at risk.
