Chairman's Update

This is a weekly update from the Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman
Lawrence Tabas filling you in on what our statewide party leaders are up to,
along with relevant news pertaining to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

August 21st, 2021

Chairman's Message

Fellow Pennsylvanians,

It’s been over seven months since the start of the Biden Administration, and
so far his presidency has been nothing short of a disaster for our nation.
Crime rates have soared, there’s a crisis at our southern border, and the
Taliban have taken control of Afghanistan following a flawed and humiliating
withdrawal. The fact of the matter is that Americans are less safe under Joe
Biden and Kamala Harris, and their radical policies are putting American lives
at risk. We cannot wait until 2024 to stop their agenda. That’s why we’re
committed to electing conservatives who will stand up to Biden and the Left and
fight back against the chaos his administration has created.

Sincerely,

Lawrence J. Tabas
Chairman, Republican Party of Pennsylvania

America pays the price
August 3, 2021 | Fox News

Smaller cities across America are struggling to increase the size of their
police forces as violent crime rates soar after more than a year of politicians
and activists calling for the police to be defunded. Nationally, homicides were
up by 30% in the first quarter of 2021, and many communities are struggling to
find officers to help them cope as police resignations and retirements have
spiked in the last year.

4 takeaways from new Pa. census data and what it means for redistricting
August 18th, 2021 | Spotlight PA

The Census Bureau recently released additional data on Pennsylvania, which
will have a major impact on redistricting. The main takeaways are that, in the
last 10 years, the state has become more diverse and more concentrated in and
near cities. Earlier this year, the Bureau revealed that Pennsylvania would
lose a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and a vote in the electoral
college as a result of sluggish population growth.
