‌John -- In each state, map-drawing looks different, and map manipulators are already trying to take advantage of this complex process.

Earlier this month, map drawers in North Carolina released draft guidelines for map criteria less than 24 hours before the only hearing for public input on those criteria -- and they made it nearly impossible to access that hearing.

And in Michigan, the state’s independent redistricting commission hired a law firm with a history of “defending some of the most egregious GOP gerrymanders of the last decade,” according to redistricting expert David Daley.

The All On The Line team will need enough resources to customize accountability efforts in each state -- but can’t do it by themselves.
