President Biden's disastrous bungling of our withdrawal from Afghanistan this week has left American citizens stranded and placed Afghan women and children in severe danger from the Taliban. It has even put our closest allies at risk. The Biden Administration's chaotic and naive withdrawal leaves the entire region less secure. Our NATO and European allies are a complete oversight in Biden's misguided foreign policy agenda.
At the ACU, we advance not only sound domestic policies, but also America First foreign policies. Abandoning allies, as the Biden Administration has, is the opposite of putting America -- or our shared interests with allies -- first.
Here's a closer look at everything we accomplished at ACU this past week.

American Express Has Gone Woke
|
American Express (AmEx) has gone woke and attacked American capitalism. As reported by the New York Post, AmEx forced their employees to listen to socialist propaganda from Khalil Muhammad. He told employees that capitalism is based on “racist logics and forms of domination” and that AmEx should begin to “price” customers based on the color of their skin.
On top of this racist rhetoric, AmEx mandated employees to take part in radical “critical race theory” (CRT) trainings that required employees to identify themselves in a racial “hierarchy” that would determine whether they were an “oppressor” or the “oppressed”.
Tell AmEx CEO Stephen Squeri that you will not put up with woke corporations that seek to destroy America by promoting socialism and racist critical race theory. Tell Mr. Squeri that you will not be using any AmEx products until they renounce these dangerous ideologies!

ACU General Counsel David Safavian co-authored an op-ed with former United States Attorney Brett Tolman about increases in violent crime linked to the “defund the police” movement. Safavian and Tolman point out that conservative criminal justice reforms make it possible to fund more cops on the street and other more effective police strategies. These public-safety oriented policies, first implemented in Texas, make us more safe, not less. The recent rise in crime – particularly in cities run by progressives – can be laid directly at the feet of those who demonize law enforcement and the effects that has on community policing and neighborhood safety. The op-ed (“Police Deserve Our Help, Not Our Scorn”) ran in The Hill.
