This week at the Democratic Debate, I reminded the American people what we need when Donald Trump leaves office: someone who is ready to lead on day one.

I know it might sound presumptuous, but I think that candidate is me.

I know what it takes to restore a government that works for the American people and not for the Trump family.

I will swiftly restore America's standing in the world as a beacon of democracy. I will make sure that our allies understand that our word is good and that our promises will be kept.

On day one of my administration, I will put America back to the road to progress.
