Hi John,
A tropical storm is barreling toward the coast of New York and Connecticut, which are under hurricane warnings. No hurricane has landed there in 30 years.
At the summit of Greenland’s ice sheet, it recently rained for the first time ever.
A surge of evacuations is underway in California due to wildfires.
And at the Kabul airport, CNN showed a newborn baby being rushed to treatment for heat stroke. Afghanistan is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to climate change.
These extreme weather events are not normal, and our response shouldn’t be normal either. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures: ending the fossil fuel industry and moving to renewable energy ASAP. Can you donate $7 now so I can fight for that in Congress?
We need to stop subsidizing the fossil fuel industry, ban new and expanded fossil fuel drilling and infrastructure, and transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030. This is a massive endeavor and would create millions of jobs in order to accomplish it.
It would be an environmental and economic win.
Unlike my opponent, I don’t take money from Chevron and Marathon Petroleum, so I’ll be free to fight for these life-saving policies in Congress. But only with your help to get me there. Please make a quick $7 donation now:
