John --
It's been three years since Project Blitz, a secretive Christian nationalist “bill mill,” was exposed as operating below the radar to shape and enact legislation in dozens of states, using a network of state “prayer caucuses.”
And now, we're still seeing the effects of these extremist views as a new surge of Christian nationalist bills creeps across the country. What's the purpose of those bills? They're intended to mandate that government buildings, public schools, license plates, and police cars display the words, “In God We Trust.”
And while these bills may seem harmless to many at first glance, this is actually just the first step in Project Blitz's mission to lay the foundation for enshrining bigotry in law under the guise of “religious freedom.”
So, John: This is just the beginning. These efforts are the first step in the Christian nationalist agenda -- and forcing the study of the Bible in public schools and discriminating against the LGBTQ community is right around the corner. If these extremists are actively recruiting and converting supporters, we can't stay on the sidelines any longer.
You have stood with us to fight for a safer and saner secular America. Now we need your help to defeat Christian nationalism and extremists. We want to elect public officials who stand for truth, science, and reason -- but right now, we're $413 short of where we need to be for the day. Can you chip in ASAP to fuel our fight? >> [link removed]
