We’re already seeing the effects of climate inaction in California and around the world.

We need to take radical action to eliminate our carbon emissions before it’s too late -- it’s clear that the price of inaction is way too high.

Last week, the UN climate committee released a ground-breaking report detailing the regional effects of the climate crisis if we do not act now.

They made it resoundingly clear: Climate change is here, humanity is responsible, and it’s going to take radical, immediate action to make sure we don’t hit a critical warming point.

The fossil fuel industry wants us to believe all hope is lost. Certain politicians will tell you good environmental policies and good economic policies are incompatible.

But they’re wrong. I know we have an opportunity to come together, pass the bold proposals we need, invest in renewable energy, and bolster our economy in the process.

But it’s going to take immense political pressure to push the policies our planet needs.
