Last week, my Democratic colleagues in the Senate held a procedural vote to start debate on the For the People Act. This legislation would expand our freedom to vote, ensure that people's voices are heard, and safeguard our democracy. But once again, it was blocked by the anti-democratic GOP.

John, Republicans will oppose any measure to improve our voting rights. They're doing everything they can to make it harder for people to vote and participate in our democracy. That doesn't mean we will stop fighting.

Voting rights are essential to our democracy, and I'll continue the fight to protect them, but I need your help. Republicans are passing anti-voter laws all across the country. From making mail-in voting more difficult to expanding strict voter ID laws, these barriers to voting disproportionately affect people of color and people with disabilities. I'm not going to stand back and let the GOP have their way here. Will you stand alongside me as we work to abolish the filibuster and fight back against voter suppression?
