Sometimes, we write emails that are about the big stuff: breaking news,
endorsement updates, and missives from Katie Porter. But today, we’re
asking for some help with our day-to-day. Here at Truth to Power HQ, we’re
working on our projections through the end of the year, and there are a

important:
It’s not cheap to run a PAC supporting groundbreaking candidates, and it’s
even more expensive to run a campaign. A big part of that cost is building
a digital program so that candidates can get their name in front of voters
who might not otherwise see them.
For a local candidate, a Facebook ad could cost anywhere from $25 to
$25,000. As the office’s constituency grows, so does the spend. Running a
strong digital campaign is critical to the victory of our candidates. It
takes creativity, humor, and thousands of dollars.
