This week, as we mark the 101st anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, we should honor all the women who tirelessly fought to secure the right to vote by stopping Republicans — including right here in Florida — from passing more voter suppression laws.

Since the 2020 election, Republicans in state legislatures have introduced around 400 undemocratic voter suppression bills — in the Senate, they’ve blocked the For the People Act from getting a fair vote.

The Democratic House just introduced an updated version of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and, John, this is our last big shot to get federal voter protections passed this year.
