The People’s Lawyers are hard at work for the people.
Friend, take a good look at this image from the New York Times. What do you see?
If your answer is “a whole lot of blue,” you’d be right. On this map from the 2020 Census, blue represents counties that saw growth in communities of color in the past decade.
This map reveals a shifting nation growing more diverse by the day — and protecting the right to vote for voters of color is about to get more difficult than ever.
Going into 2022, Dem AGs share one motto, friend: Be prepared. This census data has Republicans on high alert – and spikes the stakes for our elections higher than ever.
Dem AGs are preparing for a landscape where Republican AGs and their allies are going to ramp up their assaults on voting rights and target newly diversifying areas, especially in battleground states like Arizona and Georgia.
They’re preparing for redistricting battles that could jeopardize the ability of newly counted populations to vote.
And they’re preparing for Republicans – including those who supported the January 6 insurrection – to get even more confident about undermining and attacking election results.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
