All-American Heroes

All-American heroes. That’s what it was all about on Monday night, as we welcomed Congressmen and combat vets Brian Mast and Dan Crenshaw to Indiana, joining our own Hoosier hero, Congressman Jim Baird, as the featured speakers at our Team Holcomb Fall Dinner.

In front of a packed house, they discussed their military service, and what drives them today as members of Congress. And for them, it’s still all about continued service to our country, and the many forms that service takes. The photo that went viral with the three of them – captioned “5 eyes. 5 arms. 4 legs. All American.” – was so perfectly captioned, not because of the injuries they faced while in combat, but because these three heroes truly are all-American.

If you couldn’t join us on Monday night, you can watch the full Q&A session with them here, you can view photos of the event here, and you can check out our live tweets from the event here.

P.S. While at the dinner on Monday night, I was excited to announce some pretty big news. Governor Holcomb has now officially surpassed (by a significant margin) the number of petition signatures required to make the ballot in 2020! Check out video here of the big announcement!

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was
Gov. Holcomb Makes 2020 Ballot in Rapid Time!

It's been a big week for Governor Holcomb! In rapid time, Governor Holcomb has surpassed the number of petition signatures required to get on the 2020 ballot. While official records of when campaigns reach the required number of signatures aren't kept, it feels like this was faster than any other campaign in Indiana history! Governor Holcomb also went "Over the Edge" this week in Northwest Indiana to support local efforts to reduce infant mortality.
  • Governor Holcomb joined the Mental Health America of Northwest Indiana's "Over the Edge" team and rappelled down five stories in Merrillville to raise awareness of continued local efforts to reduce infant mortality. View the video here!
  • Governor Holcomb's campaign has significantly exceeded the signature requirement to get on the 2020 Republican ballot, with an organized campaign team of staff and volunteers in place more than a year before next year's election! This huge achievement could not have been accomplished without our strong local Republican Party leaders, our field staff, county coordinators and volunteers. Thank you to all of those who have been involved in this achievement!
