We’re in the middle of a fierce fight for voting rights. But we need
President Biden to put his all into this battle. The time for words, no
matter how inspiring, is over – the time for action is now.

President Biden must let nothing stand in the way of protecting our
freedom to vote and ensuring fair elections. We need the Senate to end the
filibuster so that robust voting rights legislation can succeed in
Congress, and we need it to happen with enough time for bills to be
enacted before the 2022 midterms.

voting rights by urging the Senate to end the filibuster NOW. >>

For the second time now, Senate Republicans have blocked critical voting
rights legislation from moving forward. They have made it clear that they
have no interest in negotiating and are actively trying to hold onto power
by denying our freedom to vote.

With the Supreme Court having issued yet another disastrous voting rights
decision this June, it’s clearer than ever that we will need both the
voting rights protections in the For the People Act (S. 1) and the John
Lewis Voting Rights Act (H.R. 4) in order to ensure that all eligible
voters – especially the voters of color who are targeted by right-wing
lawmakers – have access to the ballot box.

Recently, President Biden said that this onslaught of voter suppression is
the most significant threat to our democracy since the Civil War. If
that’s the case, President Biden needs to treat this threat with the
urgency it deserves.
