It’s Day 6 of the 2021 campaign, friend, and we’re off to a great start!

There’s much more to do, friend. As the first week of the campaign winds down, here's a re-cap of how our Liberal team has committed to keep Canada moving forward for everyone:
Supporting small businesses and hard-hit industries: A re-elected Liberal government will extend the Canada Recovery Hiring Program to help more Canadians get back on the job, launch the Arts and Culture Recovery Program to support Canadian performing arts and cultural venues affected by the pandemic, and build on our commitment to create good new jobs.
Fighting wildfires and adapting to a changing climate:
We’ll support the training of 1,000 new firefighters to help monitor and contain wildfires across the country, and invest in the resources and equipment they need to fight fires and stay safe. We will help Canadians make their homes more resilient from the impacts of climate change, and we’ll partner with the private sector to innovate climate adaptation, including by lowering insurance premiums that would save Canadians money.
Better care for seniors: We’ll also train 50,000 more personal support workers and increase their wages, double the Home Accessibility Tax Credit so seniors can stay in their homes longer, and improve the quality and availability of long-term care home beds.
The choice is clear, friend. While Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives plan to take Canadians backwards by making harmful cuts to services, scrapping $10 a day child care, ignoring the threats of climate change, legalizing assault weapons, and rolling back mandatory vaccines, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team will keep building a better, stronger and more resilient future for all Canadians.
This is an important election, and we need a government that will fight to keep moving Canada forward – for everyone.
