As the end of the summer holidays draws closer, you may be running out of ideas to keep the kids entertained. Aimed at primary school aged children, the Look Up! Nottingham Adventure Trail is a free activity that will take you on a tour of the city centre via a series of questions and challenges.

*Step repair work - Redfield Road/Canal towpath*

Repair work is ongoing at the steps leading from Redfield Road to the canal towpath. The steps are being reinstated, a handrail put in, and a ramp for cyclists installed. The steps will be closed while the work takes place, and path users are advised to use the next available junction around 400m further north, toward the city centre.

All operators in the city continue to clean vehicles thoroughly on a regular basis, and windows on buses will be kept open for ventilation.

Bus update

??NCT has confirmed some timetable changes [ [link removed] ] taking effect from Sunday 29 August. A Sunday timetable will operate on Bank Holiday Monday (30 August).

Rail services

As a result of strike action there will be changes to EMR services until further notice. Reduced timetables will operate on the following Sundays:

*Regional, Intercity and Connect routes affected -* 22 and 29 August, 5, 12, 19 and 26 September.

*Regional routes affected only - *3 and 10 October.

Western Power Distribution project

A major project to replace the 132kv cable on various roads in the city. This includes rolling road closures along the route to excavate, and install ducts and cables.

Ongoing roadworks

*Monday 22 March - Autumn 2021: Valley Road (Basford)*

**Saturday 20 February - early September 2021: Nuthall Road/Western Boulevard junction*
*Some lane closures in place while resurfacing work is carried out. This is part of a scheme [ [link removed] ] to improve traffic flow and bus journey times at this busy junction.

Road closure between Heathcoat Street and Western Street due to demolition works.

Severn Trent Water replacement scheme

Severn Trent will be undertaking a scheme to replace water mains on various roads in the Forest Fields area from July 2021. This will include rolling road closures and parking suspensions in 100m sections to excavate and install new water mains in the highway.

Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs

Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge. Works are expected to finish autumn 2021.
