Last year, Joe Biden united the country against Donald Trump and the hatred and bigotry he stood for.

We worked our hearts out, and we won. But Trumpism still exists all across America -- we saw it on January 6, and we see it right now in elections across the country, including in the Virginia race for Governor.

That’s why I’m writing to you right now. We need to unite once again to help my friend Terry McAuliffe defeat Trumpism and heal America.

Terry’s already been a great governor for Virginia, and I have no doubt he will be once again with your help.

But right now, Terry’s got a tough road ahead of him. His opponent is promising to spend up to $75 million to buy the Governor’s office. And national Republicans are pouring money into the state.

And the scary part is, it’s working.

The polls are razor thin and all of Virginia’s progress is in danger.

That’s not good enough for me. Like President Biden, I believe in fighting for the soul of our country, and I believe that one of 2021’s most important fights is making sure Terry becomes Virginia’s next governor.
