*Goose Fair 2021 cancelled due to Covid concerns*

A decision has been taken to cancel this year’s Goose Fair due to ongoing concerns and uncertainty around Covid.
Nottingham City Council, which owns the Forest Recreation Ground where the fair takes place every October, has reluctantly come to its decision based on a range of issues including Covid infection rates remaining high, national guidance and advice from experts in public health, and the fact that up to 500,000 people normally attend the event.

The summer programme of neighbourhood fun fairs visits Basford this week for three more days on Stockhill Park.
The fair is open tonight from 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 2pm. Parking is free.
The fair features several family-friendly fairground rides and attractions suitable for all ages, plus lots of tasty traditional fairground treats.
Covid-safe cleaning and other measures will be in place. Cards are accepted.

The team will be back at Victoria Embankment with a re-scheduled *Maltby Miners Welfare* *Band* concert on Sunday 12 September (2:30pm start), before moving on to the Nottingham Arboretum for the final 2 dates on Sunday 19 with *Cool Jazz* and 26 September with *Deep Down Brass*.
