Teamwork

We’re about 24 hours away from the rescheduled inaugural celebrations of the historic Holcomb-Crouch reelection campaign. I’m looking forward to getting together with many of you to celebrate our shared victories from 2020. We always talk about teamwork at the Indiana Republican Party, and it was a total team effort in 2020 that made it possible to win up and down the ballot. We have the most organized, energized, and motivated political team in the state and, while we’re going to take some time to reflect on our past successes this weekend, we’re not taking our foot off the gas as we head into 2022.

This weekend is also the final weekend of the Indiana State Fair. Our volunteers have been at the fair every day this year, collecting signatures, recruiting more teammates, and spreading the word about our great Republican office holders. Doing this work now is what helps us build the momentum to success next year. I’m grateful to everyone who staffed our booth throughout the fair. And, if you haven’t been yet, you still have a couple days left to spend some time at the great Indiana State Fair!

Thanks
Kyle

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

Building One Indiana for All

Governor Holcomb announced the introduction of the Governor's Public Health Commission. This 15 member commission will examine Indiana's public health system and make recommendations to improve its structure, funding and operations.

Governor Holcomb ceremonially signed HB1006, Indiana's historic police reform bill. This bill received unanimous bipartisan support as well as backing from state and local law enforcement. This bill will ensure that Hoosier law enforcement officers are properly equipped to respond to daily challenges with transparency and accountability.

Governor Holcomb spoke at the National Fraternal Order of Police national conference. He expressed his thanks and gratitude for all of the brave men and women who sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe.

Appeals Court Affirms Gov. Holcomb's Decision on Unemployment

The Indiana Court of Appeals ruled that Gov. Holcomb could withdraw Indiana from the federal pandemic unemployment program.

“Indiana has more than 143,000 job openings and I know there are even more out there. The Department of Workforce Development continues to work with the unemployed to connect them with the resources they need to gain skills and be matched with employment." -Gov Holcomb.

Mike Pence Op-Ed

Vice President Mike Pence wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal this week detailing the complete foreign policy failure the Biden Administration has allowed in Afghanistan.

“The Biden administrations’ disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan is a foreign-policy humiliation unlike anything our country has endured since the Iran hostage crisis." -Mike Pence
