Last year, the United States experienced 137 oil spills. And in just three coastal states, offshore drilling would put the jobs of more than 200,000 American workers and $13 billion in GDP at risk.

That's why House Democrats and Republicans from across the country are coming together to pass legislation that will ban oil and gas drilling along American coasts.
