Mayor Cantrell's administration is investing over $2.3 billion to rebuild over 400 miles of roads and secure reliable, sustainable energy sources for our pumping system. Make no mistake - she is working closely with contractors who are repairing roads in order to hold them accountable ([link removed]-(1).pdf?utm_campaign=City_of_New_Orleans&utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term=) and ensure future projects are done transparently so residents have timelines for construction.

Watch our new campaign commercial ([link removed]) to learn about how we're building a future that is safer and better for the people of New Orleans thanks to her fair share framework.

New Orleans is Under Construction

For a long time, most hospitality tax money collected in New Orleans went to the state or to independent tourism organizations with no oversight. Mayor Cantrell was told that would never change, but she refused to accept that. When she took office, she went to Baton Rouge and fought for New Orleans. She forged the Fair Share ([link removed]) agreement to bring over $200 million back to New Orleans to improve our infrastructure.
