Make no mistake about it, the first state legislative flip of the current election cycle is big news. That Republicans were able to come together and flip a "blue" district tells me that 2022 will be a HUGE year for the GOP.
Here's what my friend, RNC spokeswoman Rachel Lee, had to say:
"Republicans coalesced in support of State Senator-elect Ryan Fazio and brought a sweeping victory in Connecticut. Fazio’s monumental win crushed Connecticut Democrats’ hopes to tread water in the midst of a failing presidency."
If it can happen in Connecticut, it most assuredly can happen in Massachusetts, and that's why the MassGOP remains committed to reforming the party and building from the grassroots up, and not the other way around.
