Yesterday was launch day. Despite the madness, I couldn’t be more proud of how it all turned out. I know you heard a lot from me and my team yesterday so I want to get straight to the point:

Yesterday proved that we can win our race for U.S. Senate in Ohio.

I’ve been told countless times that this race is impossible to win for “someone like me” — a progressive Black woman who didn’t grow up surrounded by millionaires. But as donations and support flooded in online, I saw in real time how Ohio is ready for a candidate who isn’t the establishment insider.

Those first 24 hours gave our campaign momentum, and even drew the attention of some of our opponents. And you can bet that they’re preparing their corporate donors, Super PACs, and millionaire buddies to try and silence my voice.

John, that’s why I still need your help. I know Ohio is tired and we can all see that the status quo isn’t working. Communities like the one I was raised in are tired of being disenfranchised, ignored, and pushed aside in the name of corporate greed. It’s our turn.
