Border continues to spiral out of control...
...but Pres. Biden presses ahead with his disastrous immigration agenda.
Border Patrol apprehends about 200,000 aliens crossing the border in just one month!
John,
A record number of aliens crossed the border last month... about five times more than recent years. Pres. Biden's immigration policies have been a disaster. Homeland Security (DHS) Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas knows it. In a leaked audio, he told Border Patrol agents that the border crisis is "unsustainable." He said, "we can't continue like this. Our people in the field can't continue and our system isn't built for it."
No, we can't continue like this.

Pres. Biden just got a helpful reminder that presidents don't make laws. A federal court just ordered Pres. Biden to put back in place Pres. Trump's Migrant Protection Protocol, better known as the Remain-in-Mexico policy. U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk found that Homeland Security (DHS) Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas failed to consider several of the main benefits of the program.
Unfortunately, Pres. Biden and Sec. Mayorkas show no sign they're willing to obey the court. Not only is he planning an appeal, but his allies have been confidently professing he will minimally implement the laws, contrary to the judge's demands for a good-faith effort. Just yesterday, DHS proposed authority to grant parole to illegal aliens whenever their facilities become "unavailable or impracticable" (overcrowded)... while in the same proposal bogging down the removal process to ensure that they do become over-crowded. Failure by design?
When President Trump put the Remain in Mexico policy in place, NumbersUSA was very grateful for such a strong, helpful step in the right direction. At the same time, we warned that Congressional action was needed to fix the immigration crisis. Because Trump's policies were rescinded by Pres. Biden, at least temporarily, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens have crossed the borders.
We must change minds in Congress. Right now, the single most important thing Congress can do is reject Pres. Biden's attempt to use the budget reconciliation process to pass an enormous amnesty.
John, I'm sure you agree that we can't let this amnesty happen!

Mayorkas' memo rescinding the Remain in Mexico program concluded with the claim that the program "[did] not adequately or sustainably enhance border management in such a way as to justify the program's extensive operational burdens and other shortfalls." U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk found that Mayorkas failed to consider several of the main benefits of the program. Given the chaos at the border, the judge's finding would seem incontrovertible.
This is the third major recent defeat for Pres. Biden's immigration policies. Last month, a federal court ruled that DACA, the amnesty for aliens who were brought to America illegally by their parents, was illegal. Earlier, a judge struck down Pres. Biden's 90-day moratorium on deportations. Unfortunately, the President seems defiant, so we can't be surprised that so many illegal aliens are hoping they can come and stay.
IF we can defeat the Democrats' leaders' amnesty plans in Congress, we'll send a strong message to illegal aliens to stay home!
For now, the Democrats' leadership are trying to present illegal immigration as an unwinnable war that they are not responsible for. We must convince Congress that this is a losing strategy for them. The American people will not accept feigned impotence and failure.
Our opponents are surprisingly transparent. Jessica Bolter, at the open-borders Migration Policy Institute explained to Roll Call newspaper that the Remain in Mexico program "is such a symbol of the Trump administration, and it's so closely tied to the Trump administration's border policy, that I think it would be hard for the Biden administration to defend [giving up] to its supporters."
We MUST establish to each and every so-called "moderate" or "swing-state representative" in Congress that supporting Pres. Biden's amnesty plans will out them as wide-eyed political zealots in sheep's clothing... if they support the President's reckless amnesty plans.
Their most hard-core supporters can't be allowed to dictate to the Democratic Party that they can fail-by-design to uphold and enforce the law. Blindly doing the opposite of past presidents is no basis for government. We must make clear that the American people won't accept that.
Look, I know there are a lot of Trump supporters among you who are still dazed and bewildered at the events of the past year. I know there are also many Democrats who can't understand how their party has drifted so far from its working-class base. We may not all see the past year in the same light, and we may not even agree on all that much politically beyond immigration, but I think we all agree we need American democracy to start working more for we, the people.
This is the RIGHT way to do it. We need to tell Congress, "these policies do not work, and you WILL be held accountable for their failure."
The American people need a voice. They need their say on immigration to be heard. NumbersUSA is that voice. Please help us help your fellow Americans to speak up.
