John -- This week we announced the return of two BNC alums, Amy Vilela and Morgan Harper! We now have a total of 14 candidates on the 2022 slate + our 4 incumbents, AOC, Cori, Jamaal, and Rashida. And we’ve got more announcements still to come! Can you pitch in $27 to our progressive victory fund today to help Amy, Morgan, and all of our candidates win in 2022?
Since her last race, Amy Vilela has gone on to become a national leader in the movement -- founding a small business to help progressive campaigns get off the ground, encouraging women to run for office, and stumping for progressive causes. After her 2020 primary, Morgan Harper worked in her community to coordinate mutual aid throughout the pandemic, launch a pressure campaign to get Congress to break up Big Tech, and organize protests for racial justice. Both of these incredible women have demonstrated the power of organizing and service to their communities. And they are just two on a great slate of candidates BNC has committed to support in 2022. In case you missed it, here’s the full slate (so far!): Brand New Congress works year-round to recruit, train, and support great progressive candidates and their teams to help them win. We need to elect every one of these candidates to join the fight for the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and ending forever wars. So I have a big favor to ask of you, John. Will you sign up for a monthly contribution in any amount to support this crucial ongoing work?
The smallest thing can change the outcome of these elections. AOC’s 2018 race against Joe Crowley took a turn in her favor when Crowley skipped a debate. Cori Bush was attacked by her opponent for having previously been unhoused -- just as millions of her constituents were facing eviction from the pandemic. When these moments happen, we have to take advantage of them and be ready to jump in right away with strategic support. That level of readiness takes resources, so we have to hit every one of our fundraising goals. And right now, we’re falling behind for the month. Will you rush a donation now to get us back on track? Let’s win some elections! Adrienne Bell
