The polling margin of whether California Gov. Newsom is successfully recalled is currently less than two percent!
A well-funded coalition of far-right activists have mobilized voters who have grown weary of tough but necessary COVID safety restrictions and are dangerously close to removing Gov. Newsom from office and replacing him with a far-right ideologue.
Who is leading the pack on the far-right to replace Gov. Newsom? None other than conservative radio host Larry Elder, whose far-right views should sound alarm bells for anyone who cares about progressive values:
“[Elders] has defended a minimum wage of zero, claimed the police are more likely to shoot white people than Black ones, defended employers who discriminate against pregnant women, and claimed in writing that ‘women know less than men about political issues, economics, and current events.’”[1]
Larry Elders joins other leading conservatives in the recall election in praising Florida Governor Rick DeSantis’s extremely dangerous COVID policies, dismissing climate change as the threat it is, or worse! Despite these policies being extremely unpopular with California voters, the Far Right is dangerously close to removing Gov. Newsom and electing one of their ideologues to office.
We need your support in contacting California voters to make sure they have obtained a ballot and cast their vote AGAINST the recall by September 14 – there is simply too much at stake for voters to sit out this election.
