John,

Did you see my email below?

Fracking waste is the dirty secret of the fracking industry. This waste risks the health of oil and gas workers and our communities. Food & Water Watch is working to end fracking in order to protect our planet, our drinking water and our communities.

Join us by making a tax-deductible donation to ban fracking everywhere. Even $10, $15 or $20 can make a big difference.

John,

Fracking is a toxic mess. The concoction of chemicals fracking uses can seep into our drinking water and exposes workers to dangerous chemicals. Fracking also produces tons of greenhouse gases, further escalating the climate crisis.

Drilling and fracking create massive amounts of radioactive waste — in a highly toxic liquid called brine — at the rate of about a trillion gallons a year. The brine contains heavy metals and significant amounts of radioactive radium.

Fracking waste is the dirty secret of the fracking industry. Frackers try their best to cover up their huge volumes of toxic pollution, but it just can't be disposed of safely. This waste risks the health of oil and gas workers and our communities. We need to end fracking to protect our planet, our drinking water and our communities.

Please make a tax-deductible donation to help power the fight to ban fracking everywhere. Even $10, $15 or $20 can make a big difference.

It’s hard to believe, but there are no federal regulations (and few state regulations) for handling fracking waste. It sits in landfills, leaching radioactivity into our lakes, rivers, streams and drinking water. It’s being used for pool water treatments and to deice our roads. And it even irrigates our crops.

There are no safe management or treatment options for fracking waste. The best and only way to stop this toxic, radioactive waste is to ban fracking everywhere. Instead of doubling down on fossil fuels, we should invest in a fair and just transition to 100 percent renewable energy.

We can protect our water, health and environment from Big Oil. Make a donation today to fight back against Big Oil & Gas and ban fracking — and all its dangers — once and for all.
