We wanted to share a short update on the incredible work Josh and his team at the Department of Justice are carrying out. Here’s what they’ve been working on this month for the people of North Carolina:

Josh testified before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee to discuss how the e-cigarette industry is using misleading marketing, causing a nationwide youth vaping epidemic. As a father of a teenager and two young adults, Josh understands the harmful impact these products create for families across North Carolina. Josh knows how important it is to protect our youth and is leading the way in the fight to end teen vaping and nicotine addiction in our state.

Josh and his office took action against price gouging. After gas prices skyrocketed in May during the state of emergency, a gas station in Durham increased its prices, looking to make a quick buck — so Josh took it to court. Josh will always fight against businesses that seek to profit off of people’s desperation during emergencies.

Josh and his team have created a Military Consumer Guide to protect servicemembers and their families from malicious scammers. Josh is protecting North Carolina’s military families by providing education on common scams. Continuing to look out for community members who have served our country is crucial in keeping our families safe and North Carolina the most military friendly state in the nation.

Josh is working hard for us, and with more upcoming battles, he’ll need more resources to maintain this momentum.
