Christy didn't move to this district to run for office, she was born and raised in this district. Before attending UCLA, she attended community college and gained a passion for affordable, quality education.
In 1994, Christy started her career at the Department of Education -- she immediately recognized that she could be directing more funding to schools by eliminating tax-payer dollars that were going to waste.
But she didn't stop there.
In 2009, she was elected to the school board -- ensuring the students in her school district received the best possible education they could.
She wasn't done yet.
Christy ran for California's State Legislature where she built a reputation -- always delivering for her district. From securing millions of dollars in funding for local colleges that went to students in need to giving families the time they need when they need it by passing family leave legislation, Christy got it done for her constituents.
This is the person we need in office -- a person dedicated to her community. Someone who has raised their family in this district, with a track record of working hard for the people she represents.
