While we wish it was a hyperbole, the phrase “climate emergency” seems almost too minimal to describe the horrific state of our climate.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report on Monday detailing the human effects on the climate, and the results were more than alarming.

According to the IPCC, “It is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean, and land.” The IPCC is urging lawmakers to take action to reduce carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses in order to save our planet.
