Friend,

U.S. senators and representatives are out for recess this week, spending time in their states and districts. No matter where they call home, they're seeing the effects of the climate crisis on their constituents in real time.

And when they return to D.C., they'll have to decide whether or not to finally do something about the climate crisis they've witnessed while home.

Let's keep the pressure up from today until they get back to their offices: Sign on today to demand that the House and Senate pass reconciliation legislation that includes a Clean Electricity Payment Program, Clean Energy Tax Credits, and environmental justice investments!

In the southwest, it's droughts and water shortages. In the west, heat waves and wildfires. In the south and east, folks are bracing for the peak of hurricane season. Some regions are experiencing almost every one of these climate catastrophes, and scientists say this summer's extreme conditions are just a hint of what's to come.

But as the new report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change shows, how much worse climate change gets is largely up to us.

So when our senators and representatives return to Capitol Hill, we need them to remember their home districts and the crisis they've seen unfolding in front of them. We need them to buckle down and pass the bold climate agenda their constituents are counting on.

Add your voice today: Sign on to make sure climate action stays top of mind for lawmakers as they head back to the Hill.

Thanks,

Jamal Raad
