FIRST: The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its Sixth Assessment report, calling the current state of the climate crisis “code red for humanity.”

THEN: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced this past July was our planet’s hottest month ever recorded.

NOW: We’re sincerely asking for your support to help Ed continue organizing and fighting for a Green New Deal in Congress and beyond.

Can you chip in $3 — or anything you can afford — to help Ed lead the fight for bold climate action? We would not ask if it were not so important. [[link removed]]

Our fight to combat the climate crisis didn’t have the best few days in the news cycle, that’s true — but our movement must see these challenges as opportunities and recommit to our endeavor. The climate crisis is the environmental, economic, national security, and moral issue of our time, and we can’t afford to agonize.

The good news is that the movement for climate justice is stronger than ever, and growing each and every day. Congress is working now on critical investments in climate and clean energy solutions through the budget reconciliation process. We need to stand together to make a just and livable future for all a reality.

It's your collective support from emails like this one that allows Ed to lead the fight for the Green New Deal in Congress — so thank you in advance for chipping in today.

In solidarity,

Team Markey
